Laura conder
PR & Networking Director
Laura Conder is an award-winning journalist, researcher, and media producer with a sharp instinct for uncovering stories and a deep commitment to giving people a voice. She’s worked with the BBC, GB News, and Russell Brand, and produced powerful projects like the BBC Sounds podcast on human trafficking and Bugzy Malone’s GTA documentary.
But Laura’s connection to X-4RCE goes far beyond professional expertise. She met Wade on a podcast in December 2022, and what began as a conversation quickly became a life-saving friendship. During the darkest chapter of his life, Laura’s support kept Wade grounded and alive — a bond that neither of them takes lightly.
She’s been by his side ever since: guiding, challenging, and keeping him tactful when the system needs calling out. She’s also helped shape Luton’s Deadpool from day one, playing a key role in its growth and survival. Her kids are family to Wade, and that bond is unshakable.
At X-4RCE, Laura uses her voice to advocate for others — especially men who feel unheard, judged, or left behind. She brings strategy, empathy, and fire to the mission, always pushing for honesty with impact.
Thank you to our funders
-
National lottery community fund
Without generous funding from the National Lottery, X-4RCE wouldn’t be where it is today. This funding enabled us to secure a premises, and helped to successfully launch our face to face groups. Thank you to the National Lottery players
-
Luton citizens fund
X-4RCE Bootcamp began in early 2025, with the help of the Luton citizens fund. This funding has supported the creation of a free weekly fitness session for men in the community. At Bootcamp we recognise the connection between physical and mental health. Thank you to all the residents that voted for us.
-
arnold clark community fund
Thank you to the Arnold Clark Community Fund, whose grant has enabled us to cover some of our core costs. Your support means so much to the men in our service.
-
Small grants fund
One of the aims of X-4RCE is to get men out in their community supporting one another, their friends, and their families. The Small Grants Fund has ensured that for the next year we can put on workshops, host guest speakers, and provide training to our services users. Thank you Luton Rising for making this possible.
